ahh cool im at 80years now ^^ can skip the rest then~XDD

i have cheat engine just wanted to see how fast it runs on scripts thats all, but i guess ill just throw some of my volunteers for 100 years of training now while enjoying that little bit of increase of other stats hehe

There is no Absolute minimum toughness for lois to attack drekar, i got her to attack when i had 30 toughness and i believe that number can be even lower, im sure there r other factors in this calculation, or toughness might just not be a requirement at all.

Well grinding abit of AP is ok, i dont really want to go edit the files cause i tried that for several games before and it quickly killed my mood in playing them, its rather enjoyable to see u build em up with hardwork and kill time i guess~XD editing all my stats and stuff to max will basically mean nothing for me to do already T^T but thx for sharing the information ^^

I was basing the +91 Tough on a solo caravaneer, but you're right that it can be lower. At two people, the requirement drops to +81 Tough, and it keeps decreasing the more people you have in your caravan, regardless of whether they're mercenaries or prisoners. There's a minimum toughness of +11 to get the dialogue option at all, but if you have that many people that Lois agrees to attack Drekar, you can probably choose "But take a look at my crew. We are pretty badass too." instead.

And yes, it's enjoyable to build up stats semi-legitimately IF you have free time. I've got Noddite over at the wiki bugging me every day to provide a save file with at least one of every type of ammunition so s/he can put the images on the "Ammunitions" page over there.

btw after we start the game, do u edit ur base stats again by getting injured or is there another way? *cough~* i place agility n accuracy at 999 so now i can no longer control my character @_@ he moved too fast n battle map is too big lol

Your base stats' memory addresses are in a sequence of sorts. If you know the address for Physical, then you add 4 in hexadecimal to find Agility, another 4 to get Accuracy, and 4 again to locate Intelligence. They also always end in 0, 4, 8, or C.

If your agility and accuracy are both exactly 999, here's my way of locating their addresses.

1) Enter 7998 in CE's value line and do a First Scan.

2) Copy all of the addresses to the address list.

3) Start a New Scan.

4) Find your Physical stat. Multiply it by 8, then add 6.

5) Enter it in the value line and do another First Scan.

6) Again, copy all of the addresses to the address list.

7) Click on the address button to sort them in numerical order.

8) Manually go through the address list. Remove any entry with the value for Physical that isn't immediately followed by two entries reading 7998.

Personally, I would hack my Physical to 100,000,000 because few (if any) other memory addresses use 800000006 as a value. It would become a reference point. Same thing with your relationship with Cricket; since it normally never goes above 0, you can use him as another reference point.

The downside is you're essentially Chunk Nariz. While enemies will still pursue you in Travel Mode, they'll panic on sight once you enter battle. Even the entire Federation army would rather surrender than face an unarmed, unarmored, possibly lone caravaneer with a history of erratic travel patterns and effortlessly turning Luthors into red smears on the sand.

lol yea thats the other reason why i need to tune down my stats my physical and int is 799999998 XD so everyone just surrenders now, maybe i can try tuning my horses weight limit? that way i dont need a whole battalion of horses.... hmmm.... im guessing i shud grab a baby horse n grab the changing value when his growing up ?

Arghhh i think theres too many addresses i crashed when i tried grouping em in numerical order

Your Physical and Intelligence are 799999998 in Cheat Engine, meaning they're 99,999,999 in the game?

That makes things easier.

You can scan for 799999998 instead; not many other addresses with that value. The earlier address is your Physical and the later one is your Intelligence. Add 4 to your Physical stat's address to get Agility or add 8 to get Accuracy.

As for trying to change an animal's carrying capacity, I don't think that's practical. Non-integer numbers are a nightmare in Cheat Engine. You'd need something to edit the save file, but the ordinary tools like .SOL Edit don't work.

Ivan,
What was your AP and what weapon were you using when you headed toward Qubba? I had an M-16 and that big megapistol the Liberation Army guy gave, and 68 AP, and I got smoked bad. The Boydoykan, even point blank headshots with the big pistol took four or five shots to take down. The M-16 five shot burst 12ap didn't fare much better. I couldn't kill them all before they moved up and shredded me.

Just need to know a target AP and ideal weapons to have before trying to head to Qubba soloing.

well back then had about 120 but 80-90 (just takes abit longer) should be enough u just need to hit n hide, hit n hide, once u pull em out far enough u can run behind their truck n hide also ^^ just hit em then once they r far enough hide at the other side n make em run around n around.

Dude, that's nuts. I ran another 45,000 cycles last night and only went from 65 to 69 AP. It will take me weeks to get over 100 at this rate.. Also, most of the boards don't seem to give too many hiding places, so once they all start spreading out, it is easy to not be able to get away from alll angles. lus, if it takes several shots to kill them, battles could quickly get insane...

I may just have to resign myself to at least picking up Spencer and Olaf and grinding the crap out of their AP too. Once they get above 30 or so, they should be able, with a couple of sniper rifles, be able to pick off the inconvenient stragglers and help contain the herd. Dunno, though, since it seems like the accuracy of my team determines battlefield size, so once I add those guys, there is a lot more ground to cover between me and the bad guys...bad for hit and run fighting.

Yea that works too, i dont know what cycle ur talking about but im wrote my script on limitless run to press R,U til my ap is finish then N and each cycle is only 0.2 seconds i got to over 100AP in a day. *cough~* although i got over 1000AP in 1min using 999999999 INT but thats another story~

When ur picking off the enemies right, make sure u kill the ones flanking to the sides so they dont actually snipe u from long range, i always make sure to kill those first, the weapons i use are MG42x3 or x5 burst will be enough to kill them but yes 69AP now is a little too low to run from 1 end to the other end and try to attack, if u find the ap grinding too long just edit the files directly to save time then, im just using the long way because i like to play slowly and kill time thats all~XDD and mainly just waiting for a game called tree of saviour to be released so i still have like a good 3 months stuck on this game lol

So... how does the battle experience get calculated? If I grind a while on the last panicked guy, do I get less than if there had been more panicked guys with him? Does the total amount get divided up between all team members or does each member get the full amount regardless of team size?

Ivan,

Don't know where to get the program you use. I have been using autoclicker and programming in the mouseclick unload/reload cycles. One "cycle" is that full unload reload cycle plus end turn.

If you are doind the whole thing in 0.2 seconds, that would be WAY faster. My whole cycle is taking nearly a full second, so running overnight only lets me do it around 45,000 times. At the speed you are talking about, you could do 225,000 cycles in that same time.

Not really a programmer, so altering the files directly is likely beyond me, but if you could point me to where I could get that program you are using to train AP, that might help tremendously.

well i think u can use cheat engine if u want to, it has tutorials and stuff which suits beginners and if u want to do scripting theres actually alot of those around u can google im sure u can get tons of those, the formula for ur exp = AP used x Intelligence which means higher intelligence = faster AP and all other skill gains which is why we used a 10 INT build too.

On a side note, if ur com is too slow u will crash when u run scripting at high speed n when u try to play with ur stats set too high and remember i strongly suggest u set ur agility and accuracy to MAX 40 otherwise 50 because if agility is too high u wouldnt enter town or encounter any battles at all, u will zoom pass them immediately if its too high even if u touch them nothing will happen because ur just too fast and impossible to control, i only am barely able to control at 40 speed but i get into battles which im lazy to fight alot even at 40 speed, high accuracy will cause ur battle maps to be extremely big also.

im actually suggesting u not to use any editing softwares because it will kill ur fun in gaming very quickly, when ur too strong all ur oppnents will surrender immediately when u start battles with them, even if u fight a 70man caravan they will surrender immediately too.

So is there no effect on battle exp. from "fighting" (or fondling your ammo for hours, heheh) tougher foes? If not then it doesn't matter who is panicked, right? One unarmed rover = same exp./turn as a whole army of baddies?

yes its the same, does not matter who your doing it on, its easier to get em to panic when fighting slightly bigger sized groups like may 6 or 7 that way when u kill them down to the last 1 he usually will panic without u needing to hit him at all.

Thanks; good to know.

I'm currently up to 41 AP now on my own 8/1/1/10 build, which I would never have thought of except for your ideas here. So, thanks for the inspiration on that too. I am a fellow sandbox lover -- only I didn't know that term for these kinds of games until this thread. So I've learned a ton in here!

It also inspired me to seek out an auto-clicker for WinXP. I'd looked for one before but had no luck. This time, I found a simple one that works just fine. http://autoclicker.dil.so is the site if anybody else is looking. (One warning: the font it uses doesn't display on my PC, so all the alpha characters show up as boxes! The numbers are visible though. I use the web page screen shot to know what the heck I'm doing. After the first couple of times you won't need any help; it's really simple.)

ETA: I guess I'm too new to post a link. It will show up in this post if I post more in the future, I think. The domain is autoclicker daht dil daht so though.

I've got a problem. Kevin (next to New Serino) just sent me to talk to the high priest in Qorth, but when I had the option of asking where it is I asked another question first. Now I can't ask him where it is anymore, and it is not on my map. That should be changed in game, but in the mean time, can somebody give me the distance and direction from New Serino to Qorth?

Edit: I meant Orth, not Qorth, and it turns out the only thing Kevin would have told me is that he's bad with maps... Found the location I needed.

Hey guys and gals, big question I have. Two bugs I've noticed, one not so big and one big indeed.

1. I can't wear binoculars !!! I've bought basicest binoculars for a hefty sum of money and I can't wear it, I can't use it, it just stays in my cargo and shines with "total: 1, in use: 0" message when I check it in cargo screen. I want to use those binoculars. How do I do it?

SPOILER ALERT !!! SPOILER ALERT !!!

2. Very, very, very big bug! I can't complete the demon child mission. I went to demon killer in Alkubra, he told me what to do and equipped me with axe (not the deo-spray) and told me to chop the child in pieces but when I come back to my bunker and talk to Emilia I don't see any new dialog options for demon child killing and when I talk to Chairman Brass I can only ask him basic questions I could at the very beggining. So my question is: HOW DO I KILL THE DEMON CHILD ???!!! It's the funniest mission in plot and I can't complete it cause of a bug. Is it because when Kiwi told me that it's demon and I confronted chairman and Emilia about it I said that I don't really believe in demons but it's a strange coincidence that she got pregnant while having a paralysis under ground? If that locks me out of killing a child possibility then what should I do? Will it be just frozen like that?

1) u dont need to do anything about those items, binoculars, screw drivers and various other tools u just need to own them u dont need to do anything else, their effects are there immediately when u purchase em, even though u can purchase multiple of the same kind of item, but it only works when u have multiple characters (merc or volunteers) but they have a dimishing value the first one is 100% effect then 50% then 25% etc.

2) well...... keep playing........ i wont spoil if for u, u should pretty much know whats going on after u rescue olaf.

PS: lol none of those are bugs

OK, I have the robbery business going in (the ruins of) Drekar camp. I've got 6 people working in it. Problem is, it costs a ton to expand for each new unemployed that I want to add. Is there a cheaper way or do I have to pay hundreds of thousands for each expansion? Seems like a rather long-term investment at this point.

yes its a long term investment but thing is u can try this method, buying tons of empty containers (plastic containers would be the best) then get lotsa food and let time flow away to get the money, the fastest way for u to get money however will be to do trading, like lubricant from tarakoora to valentinguard and fuel from valentinguard to tarakoora, and buy cement from qubba and buy maybe 10k salt n 2k soap and sell them bit by bit to other areas then repeat a few rounds u will have tons of money.

U can also farm mad dogs for horses, when u want to let time flow u must have alot of container, for me right now im on solo without horses and anything but because i have a high doctor (impossible for u right now) i dont even need food n water too so i can just stand anywhere and just let time flow, u can train ur doctor by occassionally starving ur character to let his hp drop n they will gain bit by bit back and ur doctor will go up, i usually do a cycle every 10 or 100 years to do trading and u will have trillions of dollars, mainly because i can afford to let time pass, i just leave the game on at max speed and feed it food n water whenever i come back.

when u want to overload urself im not sure if u know about this yet, theres an advance trading option u can tick to overload urself during trading that way u can buy things over ur weight limit, another way is to just wait n wait but for starting u will need alot of containers, best way for u would be to go farm mad dogs right now to get horses n containers, if they r too strong u can let time flow away n wait for robbery to get u ur money, or other industry or simply do breeding and sell milk.

Sheep n goat milk when u breed alot alot of em u will get tons but eventually u might want to sell off all ur males to stop them from reproducing so ur time flows more smoothly, this way everyday u get at least 10-20k from milk alone n just need to go town to replenish ur forage n water, a good and safer place with bigger amount of forage is at orth because if u were to do this at lago or smaller places their forage will run out eventually, then just keep selling milk, u can lvl ur vetinary, doctor, mechanic, collecting together with this, if u wish to lvl hunting however u must go further in the desert in the middle of nowhere to do it which is too troublesome for u right now due to limited water containers.

I got my water containers from those 70ppl caravan some of those groups drops 130 208L containers and various other containers, even though this lowers ur relationship with some of em especially ur federation relationship its ok to kill a few of em for containers once in a while, this also drops ur trust when u kill them btw, so if ur not in a hurry dont hunt them for containers, hunt the other hostile groups around for the 20L plastic containers works too, im just too lazy so i hunt the 70ppl caravan for the 208L containers.

All and all robbery is a long term investment where u let time flow, fastest money making will be by trading & fighting, next followed by breeding animals n selling their products, there r other methods of course once u get strong enough but those takes thousands and millions of years (which i totally dont mind) as time passes ur character gain more weight carry limit, more sight, doctor and all other stats go up too, then once doctor is high enough u can go on solo with absolutely nothing on u n camp at that area to hunt for stuff n go back to town n sell <--- ur pretty much already god by this point nothing can kill u already, this takes a very long time to achieve so take ur time ^^
posted
by:
ivan

rank: Decanus
ahh btw i forgot to mention u should use whatever largest storage vehicle u can use when u want to do the time skipping lvling hunting method, because ur carrying capacity isnt big enough yet, just bring the lightest water container u can carry n fill the vehicle up with water and some fuel just enough for u to travel, when ur vehicle isnt moving it wont consume fuel. That way surviving on ur own will be much easier, u can slowly lower ur consumption when u try to lvl ur doctor, minus 10% food 10% water etc then once ur doctor is high enough make it 20% etc. with enough effort u will eventually survive without food n water.

the only way for that is for mercenary or volunteers (other then urself) to go to police academy and do schooling inside, INTELLIGENCE is the key stat a 1 agi, 10 int character will have more AP then a 10 agi, 1 int character eventually once u train long enough, ur main character however cannot use the feature, he can only gain AP through battles.

After taking the slaver/workforce path 'find your people' seems to end in a fail after setting the bomb. I was using the 1 INT, 10 AGI build mentioned earlier, if that makes a difference. I used an alt save to see if it made a difference somehow, riding around with a bomb in tow but it doesn't seem to open up any other dialog options elsewhere. I'm also not sure if my favor is too low or not or if that was normal but I figured I'd mention it.

The Federation is allied with the Brethren of the Sands. If you want to get into Nouvo Tòti, you have to target travelers and caravans.

This is what the town looks like: http://caravaneer2.wikia.com/wiki/Nouvo_Tòti

The town has nothing to do with the Drekar. The Drekar settle in Qubba City if you let them leave.

Thanks a looooooooot :)

How do I use solar panels? Is there a way to aggregate them to power something needing more than 120W? I have a battery charger but I can't power it yet, even with 2 panels.

Your power output is cumulative. The solar panels I think only put out 400w each, but the 4 battery charger takes 1000w. One more panel and you should be good to go.

So am I screwed?
I got my people free and they moved to Quiba. The charman got tried but set free.
Olaf died in battle and Spencer Rice as well.
Now it seems that "there is always an other job" and it is bringing random goods to random towns.
Nothing happens after that.
What am I supposed to do?

You keep doing those random jobs until your reputation is high enough to start a political career.

Starting a political career results in a Game Over because "the things you were doing during this time do not match this game's genre." The best ending I've found is where you become a president only equaled in popularity by John Sheppard.

Yes that is what happened to me.
*didn't want to give the spoiler*
But no bomb no end battle nothing. Where did I go wrong?
Would it have been different with Spencer Rice or Olaf alive?
I don't see an alternative
(do I go back in my save games?)
