yep, but you have to find it yourself :p

...well, a hint --
(like the priest says, a couple days due west and a little north of Huira. If you still can't find it, later in the game you'll find items that make that sort of exploring *much* easier. Hang in there!)

How many ppl are you thinking of? I've been trying to look for some, but there's rarely someone available and I haven't seen anybody with a carrying capacity of more than 27kg which is my groups avarage and therefor not helping with the "how many days worth of rations can I carry?"

I've been using the min. button a lot when buying things, it's kinda anoying and it doesn't work if there's no more then 3kg total available 'cause the calculator doesn't pop up at all.

... way too late to respond, but:

You can always attack Drekar Raiders and hire the Slaves or even the Raiders themselves if you can't find good men.

I remember from an early game, I found a Slave with 8,5,8,8 Stats for only ~2500 Cash Hiring Fee.

Ok...Major bug here - once you get off the storyline, there seems to be no way to re-acquire it. Once i failed to meet Lois...oddly difficult to time that right, you're basically done with the whole story line. everything else leads to a dead end after that.

At this point i'm cruising around the Federation with 80 million in cash, more horses than a rodeo, and guns and armor to spare....i've tried re-visiting every single town, every single chat thread...but it's all closed off to me. Everyone's a dead end at this point.

I strongly suspect there must be some kind of error going on... after Lois, i accidentally convinced the Drekkar(?) to Murder that nerdy little leader of the Wool harvesters north of my bunker... and ever since, nothing else leads anywhere.

Absolutely wonderful game creation though...btw. Truly fantastic. Hope these little hiccups get sorted out soon =)

Hey, if a horse dies in front of a tree (meaning you can see the horse's body between the branches), the graphic glitches, showing the horse dead from one angle (through the branches) and alive from another. BTW, amazing game, dev is my hero :-D

Aww I lost my horse! Come back to me, Malcolm Reynolds, my black steed!

Let go of Mr. Reynolds.... it's time you let him go.

It simply means you just failed at stories.

A tip for awaiting for Lois' arrival is to literally just "wait" outside of Pullid Camp whilst waiting for the hour hand to make one full revolution (on normal speed, too). Ensure that you flip the "Pause Caravan on Travel Menu" in the Caravan settings.

That would be extremely easy to do. Like, for example, you enter Travel Mode at 1:30.

Wait until it's 1:30 again. Lois shall be waiting to discuss some matters with you.

I got a bug when I defeated Regin's Gang at their camp, my reputation for the Ozbet Government faction went from +2 to -144. After that I tried many ways to improve the rep back to positive, managed to get it to -138 after fighting 1 group of bandits, after that when fighting more bandits or any enemy of the Ozbet Government faction it won't increase to the positive(+rep) any more, instead it goes into the negatives(-rep) no matter who I fight, be it bandits or enemy factions of the Ozbet Government. Only thing I can think of is that some members of Reign's Gang were probably aligned with the Ozbet Government.

Were you playing on the Liberation Army's Storyline or the Workforce Merchants?

Wiki sais that you cannot recruit Spencer Rice if too many Kivi warriors die during the attack. My team killed all drek squads (15ppl each), after window popup that drek are destroyed, but i can't hire Spencer Rice anyway. The result the same even kiwi fight them without me with 2-3 ppl lost.
What else are requirement for hiring him

Maintaining positive stats, such as Friendliness, Trustworthiness, and some other stats may help. Building up Kivi Reputation is also a great thing to manage, as well as trying not to anger Spencer himself.

If that doesn't work, then please elaborate further - I never known of a situation of being denied Spencer Rice.

I believe, however, that the only possible factors could be from Reputation of Kivi and of careful Storyline events.

To answer your questions:

To increase both Rational and Smart values all are determined by your conversations with people.

I'm guessing that you began to think that religion's all a good thing with Spencer Rice, removing some points on your Rational stat. As for Smart, I think you didn't insist on getting slightly more pay from Kukul when you gave him the book on Spencerism.

(I'd recommend you say:

"Didn't you say that you were going to pay me...?"

...

"I'm pretty sure this book is worth more than that..."

...

"It's okay - I wanted to point out that I was doing you a favor...")

_____

Somewhere along those lines. That'll leave you with +2 Smart instead of -2 Smart.

Now my own ideas:

Rallying Up Allies for the Invasion of the Federation?

Can we at least recruit Kevin A. and the Narizians (if allied with, potentially if you paid for them to found a small settlement) to aid? I mean... just Lois and the Liberation Army?

_________________________

So in the Workforce Merchants Storyline, They Attack Ozbet...

Can we do the same with Ozbet attacking Janubi (preferably after the defeat of the Federation)? I wanna beat up the Janubi government!

_________________________

The Narizian Settlement and Hempton:

Can we at least classify them as actual towns? I wanna raise an army of Chunk Nariz worshipers and cannabis farmers!

(Which brings up the question of Toowoomba - Isn't it supposed to be part of the Narizian religion?)

_________________________

Do More with the NPCs!

So, Lipas (seller of the Sextant in Scrapyard) and Eliah (Cannabis farmer in Murray Hill) are reduced to absolutely nothing after you finished with them once or twice? If anything, having them listed in the Reputations Tab is pointless. I beg for more interaction!

Kill an Obzet Defenders Group.

When he joined you like a temporary member in araten, he has 39 or less morale and -1 strenght. Even any prizoner wouldnt join you after free him if their morale below 40. So there is one more condition to have Spencer Rice in your team. Now he want to join in any cases, so i think the main condition is morale

I'll have to disagree with you. You're treating Spencer Rice like a prisoner.

The only conditions are: Kivi Wins, and Kivi Does Not Suffer Large Casualties.

Anything else may be either a minor bug or an abnormality.

My explanation wasnt full enough. I tried to reload save file before they attack, and when i wrote that he join in any cases i mean that after loading few times, staying in kiwi camp or helping them, the result the one, he wants to join.

One time (my speed by foot is 3,5) i came to kiwi camp to late and drekar was aslready gone from their camp, but Spencer Rice joined.

So now i must disagree with you. He joined without fight, what he didnt want to do at all last my play. So i bind it with high morale i left him with

Ah, well then, technically:

Spencer Rice's only concern is to just promote peace back.

However, Sigurd's not going to like you, and Drekar WILL come back to bite you in the butt.

Dead serious. They will come back stronger.

I would like to suggest being able to make Donations to towns, and that towns be capable of using Donations to expand their own industries, or perhaps that you can pay the town to expand industries?

I mean, it's rather a pain when a city doesn't produce food or forage because they're eating it all... and it'd also be nice to be able to put tribal Unemployed to work...

Also, Tamashi, you have to escort the slaves and recruit immediately, and keep the Drekars prisoner for a while until their morale goes up.

BTW, a minor exploit--Tagelmust industries can be used to produce Textile! Or at least, to make more efficient Tagelmusts. The White Tagelmusts produced--up to 25 a day--can be converted into Textiles at a 1-2 WT/Textile ratio. However, industries produce each tagelmust for 9/12=1.25 textiles. If you convert the 3 whites(cuz they dun need lye) made per level into fabric, each tagelmust is instead produced for 1 textile--6 tagelmusts for 6 textile.

Needless to say, unbalanced and unrealistic.

So I don't know if it is a problem for anyone else, but I have bought a lot of food (insects) and it counts as 0 on my food counter :( which means I start to starve to death and there is nothing I can do about it, i set by Rel. P. to above 0 and it will not allow me to eat anything, there is also no food in some other towns it makes this game frustrating.

Buying and immidiatly releasing slaves will have the combined effect of lowering your slaver reputation. If you started with 0 it causes it to drop to negative levels. This simply means you have a reputation for caring about slaves / setting them free / not agreeing with slaverism, while a slaver rep of +5 would mean you are a slaver/are trading with slaves.

No I have toggled it from 10% to 200% and no success. I just started playing this game so I began to starve before I really went into the finer details of Rel. P. and such stuff.
The problem became clear when I bought 10kg of crickets and my food level did not go up and I began to starve.

My overview states I have 22kcal of food available, with a consumption of 2kcal/day, which means I should have food for 11 days, however when I start traveling my food is at 0 and I begin to starve no matter how much food I buy.
